As a trustee with Newton Sports Club, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to people's lives. We are a small organisation so your skills, knowledge and experience will have a direct and real impact.
This is an opportunity to work with a small, dynamic and forward thinking organisation that is not afraid of change or challenge!
About Newton Sports Club
Newton Sports Club initially founded in 2003 as a stand alone football club, it has since grown to include 6 sports disciplines and growing.
We are all keen sports enthusiasts, and the club boasts its ability to be diverse and offer sporting activities for all ages and disabilities.
What are they looking for?
We are particularly interested to hear from you if you are experienced in Human Resources, Financial Management or Marketing and Advertising however, even if you aren't a specialist in any of these areas, but have the energy and passion to get involved, we still want to hear from you.
We are keen to work with likeminded Trustee who want to see us achieve our vision.
Practical Considerations
The Board of Trustees meets 6 times a year, currently Mondays 6-8pm every each month. Plus our AGM in April.
We then have 6 Bi-Monthly committee meetings where the representatives from each of the clubs meet, this can be a meeting of around 15-20 people all representing their parts of our vision.
We work the meeting days and times around the availability of our Trustees and members, so do get in touch even if Mondays aren't ideal for you. This equates to around 12 meetings plus our AGM. You don't have to attend them all.
The room used for Board meetings is wheelchair accessible.
